Tonight I finished my tapestry kit of Alan Measles, the god of the imaginary world of the artist Grayson Perry. I picked it up a few weeks ago at the tomb of the unknown craftsman exhibition, which I would highly recommend and is a good excuse to have afternoon tea at the British Museum.
I’m a strong believer in an active imagination and think everyone should have an imaginary friend to believe in, mine is a knitted monkey called monty. Unfortunately Monty is very judgemental when it comes to my clothes, so I might be better off talking to god, at least he won’t tell me off when I wear double plaid by mistake.
