I really love the new iamamiwhoami video and song, its very ‘the wild things’ but with a naked tin foil princess stomping around the forest. :o)
I’ve been following the slow release of videos for what seems like ages now and its been really nice having creative music and images released in a unique way. As much as I love lady gaga she’s playing far to closely to a tried and tested formula which can be a little dull, the new alejandro video had all been seen before, (the production value was still impressive)
The idea for releasing media in this way has been clearly borrowed from Pattern Recognition by William Gibson and it will be a shame when the identity of the artist is officially revelled. I cant help feeling the music and videos are going to lose part of their appeal.
Hopefully theres a lot more creativity to come form iamamiwhoami who ever it turns out to be.
